Des Moines, Iowa – Takedown Wrestling Media and Time Warner Sports have established a relationship that will bring the popular TDR TV amateur wrestling program to over 700,000 homes in the eastern United States.
The first broadcast of TDR TV on Time Warner Cable NY will be Saturday, July 3, on Channel 813 throughout the CNY Division. (Check your local listings for availability on additional channels.)
TDR TV is a 30-minute weekly TV show that covers all aspects of amateur wrestling in the U.S

Just two days after a come from behind pin over Kelsey Campbell on the deck of the USS Intrepid at the Beat the Streets Gala, Leigh Jaynes, a 2007 National Champion and World Team member, instructed a free clinic at Baruch Middle School in lower Manhattan. Jaynes drilled about 40 middle school and high school wrestlers in advanced freestyle technique.

Mike Rodriguez wants to help turn boys and girls into upright citizens, and he figures the way to do it is to put them on a mat and teach them to twist each other into irregular shapes.
Heck, it worked for him.
Rodriguez, 77, was never what we refer to nowadays as an “at-risk child.” His parents didn’t come all this way from Mexico to let their five boys be hooligans. In several weeks, history will be made in one of America’s largest cities when the Beat the Streets-Detroit launches its initial program on September 15, 2009.
The Co-Directors, Mark Churella, former 3X NCAA Champion and Mike Rodriguez, 2X NCAA Runner-up both wrestled at the University of Michigan located nearby in Ann Arbor.
In 2007, Mike was recognized nationally as the coach with the most wins in high school wrestling with 732. He coached at Detroit Catholic Central HS for 51 years where his teams won 7 State High School Championships.
